Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 2006

I’ll be off to Vietnam in 2 weeks time. I got a fairly good deal, 50% discount on my air fare.

I’m not very familiar wih the tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh City, but I’ll definitely give Ben Thanh Market and the War Remnants Museum a go.

Any other suggestions?

Further, I must pay Cu Chi Tunnels a visit. It’s a huge network of underground tunnels that were used to combat the French and the Americans.

I heard that the locals there uses USD to trade. Is that true?

  8. cheng leong!! wassup man! long time no c!haha..regarding your questiion, yes they trade in USD. If they see that youre a tourist, they will only accept USD. But even though you’re trading in USD, stuff is still relatively cheap and afforadable! I recommend that you change slightly more than half to USD and the rest to viet money.
P.S. Stay away frm the prostitutes, unless you wanna mati there!
    Have a good trip!
