Remember that a person?s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language

Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language. – Dale Carnegie

Don’t you just hate it when you have problem remembering somebody’s name?
Well, here are some tips of my personal tips.

1. When newly introduced, use their name immediately when you refer to them.

2. Associate them with something. For example, guy with the name Roger and has a rabbit face. When ever you see him, “mmm rabbit face..ahh Roger Rabbit” (works with Donald Duck as well)

3. Write their name down on a piece of paper. Very useful especially you meet a hot chick or a fit guy. Oh yeah, name cards are useful too 😀

4. Chinese names are the hardest to remember. Frankly, 99% of the new people I meet don’t remember my Chinese name. When facing such dilemma, I usually give them nicknames. For example, “Hi my name is Soon Loong”, my brain will process it as, “mm Hai Loong”… that’s pussy in Cantonese by the way.

And my personal favourite,
5. Have a short chat with them and then ask for their number, while you’re at it, ask them to spell their name or ask them to key in their name 😀

Anyone has tips to share? 😀
