Yet another haunted hotel story

A friend told me of an incident she had while staying in a hotel in Penang. The same hotel which I had an entry about.

It was late at night. She had to move from her previous room to one room at the 26th floor as the previous room had faulty lights.

As she was settling down, she suddenly heard a group of kids running on the corridor which was followed by a woman was shouting in Malay.

My friend wasn’t bothered with the noise and in fact she was pleased to know that she wasn’t the only person on the floor. Minutes later, she had to call the receptionist to ask for something. She also took the opportunity to ask about the Malay lady and her kids running around the corridor.

Receptionist: Ma’am, you’re the only person on this floor. In fact, there is nobody staying above and below your floor.

Friend: /(*O*)\!

Nevertheless, my friend had to attend to something important the next day hence she couldn’t be bothered about it.

Few weeks later, she received a call from her sister.

Sister: Che, Which room did you stay when you were in XXX?
Friend:: I think its room 26 something something..
Sister: Remember the story you told me? I think one of the bosses stayed in the room you stayed in… He complained, “Kids nowadays don’t need to sleep one ah?? Why do they run along the corridor in the middle of the night???”.

Anyone had the same experience while staying in this hotel?

  1. It’s not novotel
It’s called the heritage hotel or sth
I once slept in one of the rooms, and I woke up
I peered out the window and I saw godzilla whacking the eiffel tower

  2. this reminds me when my gf was staying at E & O hotel in penang. She was talking to me on the phone late into the nite when suddenly she noticed the sash to tie the curtain started moving like a snake. at first i told her maybe its just the wind and the sash is being blown, the next thing i know she is telling me the sash is now standing like an erect dick and facing her. It stayed like that for like 15 mins before it slowly went down back. My gf walked over to the curtain and started talking to thin air asking permission from the spirit to let her stay in the room and leave her alone. Wierd things started happening in the room but she stopped bothering abt it and it eventually stopped.

  5. It was Christmas Eve 2010, we flew in to Penang enroute to Langkawi the next day, we booked in at Hotel Royal Penang for a night, we had one of those executive room. We went to have Christmas Eve dinner in the hotel restaurant and came back to our room, my wife decided to have a shower before going to bed and I was on the internet with my little boy. It was unusual for my wife to have a long shower that night, and finally she came out she went to sleep, we got earlynext morning and went to the airport to catch a flight to Langkawi, then she told me that the shower room in the hotel was haunted, she saw a figure of a Malaysian woman in their dressing looking at her thru the big mirror, she saw it twice and she wanted to shout but no words came out, she was so frightened and she felt weak at that time and she just disappeared, and from then on we slept with all lights on in any hotels we sleep in, this is only last Christmas.
