Raj the Mechanic

While driving at 100KM/H at Jalan Tun Razak..
*POOP!*
What the..
ARGHHHH MY CARRRR is SWERRVING TO THE LEFT UNCONTROLLABLY!!
CARS ARE EVERYWHREEE ZOMMGGG
After signaling frantically, I managed to stop by the side of the road. I got out from my car to find my front left tyre punctured and coming off its rim.
Wasting no time, I took out my rusty tools and my unused jack to change my tyre. Suddenly, an Indian man stopped to check on me. His name is Raj. He works as a mechanic in one of the workshops in Jalan Ipoh.
He offered to help me, with a small sum of RM20, to change my tyre – which I agreed.
Raj was telling me that there are not many honest mechanics around. Just on the other side of the road, he said he saw one mechanic lied to an elderly man that his Honda City cannot be fixed and had to be towed to the workshop because the tyre could not be removed. Raj said that its absolute bullshit and what the dishonest mechanic did was to squeeze more money from the elderly man.
As Raj got my spare tyre out, he realised that it’s flat as well.
Raj: This tyre is flat, did you pump any air in it before?
Me: ooo…shii.ttt..…I’ve never…..
Since the day I bought my car…
Raj: ooo, we can’t use the tyre. We gotta head to the petrol kiosk to pump the tyre!
Me: OK.
Raj: That’s gonna costs you RM60
Me: /(*O*)\!!!
I had no choice but to agree. 10 minutes later, Raj came back with my inflated tyre and proceeded to fix the same.
Minutes later, my car is up and running! Raj packed everything for me and gave me some advice on car maintenance.
I gave Raj a tip of RM10 for his good service.

Raj is on call 24 hours. If you need assistance around Klang Valley, you may call him at 016 637 6574.

The Simpsons Movie

I laughed out loud when I heard Homer Simpson sang “Spider Pig Spider Pig, does whatever a spider pig does” on one of the Simpson trailers. I’ve been a fan of The Simpsons since it started off in the Tracy Ullman show.
I was extremely delighted when news of the new Simpsons movie will be out this month. My friends and I bought 5 tickets from GSC 1 Utama cinema on Thursday, 2 days before we were due to watch it. We split the tickets into half, 3 kept by ivN and another 2 kept by me.
On the next day, I couldn’t remember whether I took the ticket out from my pocket or left it in my pocket. I had to rush something at work hence I didn’t call my Mum to check on it.
And when I came home..

/(*O*)\ ZOMGGGG!!!!!
My Spider Pig tickets!!!!!!!!!
My 2 tickets transformed into half a ticket!!
On Friday, I went to see the staff of GSC to explain my calamity. The lady in charge asked me to come back on Saturday. Fortunately, they didn’t brush me off and forced me to buy a new ticket.
On Saturday, I had 3 staff accompanying me into the cinema to verify whether the seat that I’ve bought was occupied. It was pretty troublesome. The staff restrained us from entering the cinema until the verification was completed.
Upon verification, we were allowed into the cinema without being issued a new ticket 😀

Look Alike – Part III

2 years ago, I blogged about people looking alike here. In the said entry, I posted that one Mr Azmi was mistaken for another person who looks like him in England.

Then my friend took picture of a guy who looks like me (or I look like him). His name is Edwin.

Edwin

Me

And now Gavin Tan has found someone who looks like him in Kennysia‘s Website.

Our Gavin.

Versatility, Fun & Colour(ful)

Last week, I was talking about how football/futsal brings friends together. This week, it’s alcohol!
When I was young, I never understand why some people like to drink. When there is something to celebrate, people drink. When someone is sad, people drink. When people are bored, they drink too.
I had my first taste of alcohol when I was in primary school. One of my tenants had a can of beer in the fridge. Hence, being young and curious, I appropriated a can from him and drank it. Man, it was awful! It went down the drain immediately.
Notwithstanding the bad experience, years later, I learn to love alcohol!
Especially beer. w00000ttttt
Imagine, a hot sunny day..with a cold beer on your hands…zo..mmg..ggg!!
As long as I could remember, my birthdays were all alcohol powered. I was going through my achieves and I found this picture.

Original post @ Birthday Celebration 2004
I laughed out loud looking at it. Looking back at it, it was extremely fun. If it’s not for the alcohol, we wouldn’t have so much fun 😛
But I always pray that I dont get bombed during my birthday. This year too!
Smirnoff recently launched a line of new flavoured vodka. If I recall correctly, when I was in Singapore last month, I was approached by a number of girls selling shots of Smirnoff (Green Apple, Orange and Raspberry). Each girl had different ways to approach customers. One girl was quite persuasive. She came to our table few times and in a giggly mode, persuaded me to buy a shot from her.
Another girl had a classy method. She came to our table, introduced herself, shook our hands and subsequently offered to sell us a shot.
Unfortunately, I didn’t buy any shots from them and I regret not going so. I used to like Smirnoff’s alcopop when I was in UK. Hence, I bet their flavoured vodka would taste as good as they smell.
But good news, Smirnoff is launching their new flavoured vodka @ Santuary on 25th Jul 2007. Cant wait to try it!

My Coke Can Collection

Last week, I returned home to find a group of workers cleaning up my Mum’s room. Mum got hold of a contractor to fix her floorboard and they had to remove everything from my Mum’s room. The contractor made a mess out of the place.
My coke can collection, which is placed outside my Mum’s room, was all over the floor.
Then I realised something. My coke can which I bought from Korea was in Mum’s room. It was opened! Upon inspection, I discovered that they have used it as an ashtray!

WTF!
Me: Oi boss, I bought this from Korea man, why did you use it as an ashtray??
Contractor: oh, sorry. It fell on the floor and it broke. The coke gushed out. We thought of getting rid of it.
Me:…
Lies!! Lies!!!
Liar liar!! tetek (tits) on fire!!
I bet he drank it!!
Damn, but I didn’t pursue further after that.
Unknown to him, I bought the coke can 3 years ago. Bet he loved the expired aluminium diluted coca cola. Yeaaaaa tasty tastttyyyyyyyy!

So you think you can dance @ Ruums 31.5.2007

Angeline got us tickets to watch the reality TV show “So you think you can dance” live @ Ruums, KL. In this reality show, dancers are put up in a pair and must put up a good show to the judges and audience.

In this episode, there were 12 dancers remaining and were required to dance in pair. Their dances are all choreographed by experts and it involves all sorts of dances ranging from Malay contemporary to Chinese traditional dance. I heard that the last 12 dancers were either professional dancers or professionally trained.
Before the show started, the audiences were made to go on an applause rehearsal. We had to rehearse on how and when to cheer and clap.

The supporters.

Malaysia Dog Olympic Day – Central Park, Bandar Utama 27.5.2007

The Malaysia Dog Olympic Day was held at the Central Park at 1 Utama. They had one competition by the name “Purina One 30 Days Challenge”. In this competition, the dog owners must feed their dogs Purina One for 30 days and show how has Purina One affects their dogs. Winner of this competition walks off with cool RM10, 000 in cash!
I could have just taken a picture of an ugly mongrel and then head to a pet shop on the 30th day and purchase a nice dog to present it to the judges. However, dog owners must record their dog’s development from Purina One everyday. 😛
The competition was also endorsed by Radio DJs from Mix Fm, Serena C and Pietro and also MyFM DJ, Lam Tak Wing.

The competition was won by 2 girls. They were presented with 2 mock cheques and soon thereafter, photographers lunged towards them to take pictures.

And I was one of them.

Nuffnang – Private Movie Screening 24.5.2007

Nuffnang organised a private screening session for their listed bloggers and friends. In the said screening, they managed to book one cinema at Cathay Cineplex at the Curve for us to watch the Pirates of the Caribbean!

Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to meet many people save for the famous social political blogger Jeff Ooi. However, I managed to spot some bloggers like suanie, FireAngel, Smashpop and gang, ShaolinTiger, Kimberlycun and Penispupz.

Damn, I love screaming the name penispupz.

I was fortunate to be allocated VIP seats. I sat on the 2nd row from the top, with great view of the screen.

Sadly, I do not know many bloggers. However, one blogger recognise me. wow. shocking.

To those, who doesn’t know who and what Nuffnang is. Nuffnang is Asia’s first blog advertising community. The brainchild of Timothy Tiah and Ming, Nuffnang managed to secure popular bloggers such as Kenny Sia and Xiaxue to collaborate with them. To date, various leading corporations have secured the services of Nuffnang to advertise their products and services! Not bad for a company which is less than a year old!

So fellow bloggers, what are you waiting for? Enlist @ Nuffnang!
